Dried whole green peas take longer to cook than split peas, but about the same as a dry bean. Can be used in stews, soups, loaves and burgers. May be sprouted.
Cover whole peas and soak overnight. Replace water with fresh cold water for cooking. Place on stove and bring to a boil cover with lid. Once boiling reduce to a simmer, cook for up to 90 min or until tender.
